Lottery Ticket Heist

A London man was arrested after a burglary in Knox County. Deputy Mikey Ashurst was sent to investigate the burglary at the S & M Market on KY 11 in the Girlder community.

A thief had entered the store and taken a dispenser which contained Kentucky Lotto scratch-off tickets. Deputy Ashurst learned that some of the tickets which were stolen had been cashed in at various locations in Laurel County. After obtaining surveillance video at four of the locations, Deputy Ashurst observed the same man at each location. He is identified as 27-year-old Wesley Ryan Hubbard. Deputy Ashurst arrested Hubbard and charged him with Third-Degree Burglary. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. The sheriff’s office says more arrests are expected in the case.
